Great vid. Helpful. Do you need an Mac computer or laptop for Final Cut Pro?? Also, sigh, it is so expensive !! I sadly am in a basement with two windows and have 0 lighting except my cute little night lamp LOL! I make it work I guess.

Davida, thank you SO MUCH for sharing this! I haven't actually ventured over to shooting myself in videos yet, but this will be an awesome resource when I make that move! I've been watching your videos, and they're awesome!

This was really fantastic. I've been toying with the idea of starting some videos for a blog that I run, but it always seems so daunting. This really helps to get a feel of what is involved. Thanks for making this!

Good vid. I was inspired by a cooking vid that resonated with my own experience, and decided to do my own vids, too. Knew NOTHING about camera or edit programs. Studied on my own for about a month b4 I got my first one done. Wish I had seen this first. lol. First 2-3 I was still very nervous in front of the camera, but getting better now. Personality is really beginning to come through now by the 22 vid. Hope some of you check it out. See why I call it Wonder Woman Dressing and Cheater's Cherry Cobbler. lol

Lights are probably the most important thing if you ask me. 🙂 You can find some cheap softboxes on Amazon and will make a really big difference.
