    I've lost 45lbs with this diet plus a 16-8 intermittent fasting. Lowered my A1C from 8.4 to normal and BP is now consistently 120/80 without meds.

    In Sweden, it has been suggested that cholesterol, yes, even LDL, is one of the most important corner stones of the immune system. Especially important for the respirotory sytstem and of course now against this new virus. It has also been suggested that statin use might be a quite common denominator among those that have died from this.

    Hba1c is 5.65
    I've been carnivore for many years and usually keep an eating window of 18-24 hours. Why is my blood sugar still so close to pre-diabetic after all this time with no carbs? What else can I do?

    Be a vegetarian. Don't take any supplements, Eating raw fruits is better, Avoid package food items, use Indian spices.

    I came across one of your videos in late November 2019 about the carnivore lifestyle. I liked the theme, as I LOVE meat and have always had it with every meal. I've struggled with my weight since before puberty (I'm 50 now) and I think I've tried all the "diets" out there over the years with some success, just no sustainability. As you've stated, starvation doesn't work, in the long term. My wife and I decided to make a lifestyle change on December 7th and haven't looked back. We both feel terrific and have lost substantial weight. She's down 51lbs and I'm down 40lbs. so far. I'm relieved knowing I'm no longer poisoning myself with the "food" I used to eat. You, Dr. Cywes, and Dr. Fung have provided us a plethora of information, advice, and guidance above and beyond any other medical professional in our lives. Thank you for all you do.

    Dr. Berry, I'm trying to help someone who was treated for cancer with mustard gas (chemo) to rebuild their immune system since it was obviously compromised. To what degree can it be rebuilt after something so destructive as mustard gas was introduced to his body?

    I’m am very confused Dr Berry ! I have been keto for over 10 yr & yesterday found out I have shingles. From what I read that a low immunity virus so I checked my sugar levels & my glucose is 73 & ketones 1.4 (fasting) so why would I have low immunities to catch this very hurtful virus?     that carbload its easily triple or more during the day. People eat all the time, "food" and snacks. Carbs are addiction.

    I can’t seem to get my blood sugar down below 190. I eat at six o’clock at night and don’t dine again until the next day between 12 or 1 pm. Basically, I’m ingesting two meals a day. I take no medicines at all.

    While I appreciate the advice I only eat fruit, salad, vegetables and wholemeal pasta etc so I wish you could give some ideas that could include this diet.. I always thought I was eating healthier than a lot of people…now I'm not so sure?

    I've had a theory (which I act on) for many, many years that when you start to get sick, you should consume a lot of protein for a few days to ramp up your immune system (since protein is required to build immune cells). What are your thoughts on this–for both the keto and non-keto viewers?

    I saw my doctor last week and he asked that I stop the key to diet because I needed to increase my carb intake to improve my immunity. Hmmmmm
