Recently bought 20×12 -44's on 33×12.50's and was wondering what was still causing my steering wheel to slightly shake? I've had two alignments done, the wheels were weighted/balanced when packed and shipped by you guys, the centering rings didn't fit my hub so they aren't on, I was just wondering what could be causing the shake unless that's just the way it is with 33's? Could a steering stabilizer possibly help?

stop trying to play mechanic on this channel alot of things can cause vibration bad wheel bearing bent rim bad ball joints unbalanced wheels cheap brand tires or rims cause they ask for more weights ABS brake system can also cause vibration old steering components or track bar of it has a straight axle up front bad caster or camber angle so many things

Road force balance is the way to go. It actually measures how much "hop" and "wobble" a tire has going down the road. All tires will have some, they just have a tolerance limit. Dual plane those tires and you'll be rolling smooth. Just did that to my 38 toyo mts. Smooth as glass and called for very little weight. Oh and dont buy atturo. Shit tire

Just out of curiosity. If you have factory wheels and OEM size tires (factory A/T tires) what would cause the rear end to shake only at certain speeds? Say 45mph. Doesn’t do it at 4O and lower or 50 and higher ? Balanced by dealership

    Hey all,
I am an engineering class for school. We are tasked for our year long project to develop a new product or improve a current design of something that already exists. Whether it be automotive related or within your daily line of work, do you have any problems that you wish could be fixed or a new tool/product that could aid you more when doing your job? Any response is welcome.
    Thanks for your videos,
    JM

All I heard was $$$$$$$$$$ to remedy all these problems. This is why I just roll on my stock truck and have none of the aforementioned troubles. Thank you!

Glad to see this video because I've had the death wobble since day one on my package(love the package) but the ride is brutal. Found out 2 of my tires were 3oz out of balance.
Came with two sets of hubcentric rings told by multiple shops they installed the correct ones. Guess my next option besides the tires possibly being out of round would be to try multiple rotations. Truck is sub 20k miles no component issues, no suspension changes.
    Any other suggestions?

We'll I found out what the problem was here it is. One wheel 105 run out one 97 run out one around 40 run out and one 30 run out all were at least 2.5 oz off balance. So far they want to make it right. Time will tell. Hopefully we all walk away happy.

TO UPDATE… My problem stated below were corrected and Nitto Trail Grapers 35×11.50 20s are being shipped and the money I spent in rebalancing the tires has been refunded. Did not want any confusion on MINE OR THERE PARTS. They have been awsome and have done what a business should by me. SUCKED FOR BOTH OF US THAT IT HAPPENED.

I have a 2013 Silverado with a 9-7 lift kit on 35s ever since I put my weels and lift kit on it always Vibrated thought maybe it was the balancing so went to do that again and Notting still the same so I noticed that when I’m going really slow I feel like the truck jumps a lil as the weeks spends like if the tires hade a ball in them but checked them and don’t see no ball on them what can it be ??

  • Posted on Sep 13, 2019 at 00:30 am

I had 2” spacers installed on my rear tires on my Silverado, it drives smooth but when I brake it starts to shake and it wouldn’t do that without the spacers. What can it be?

I recently got my truck lifted 8 in and once I’m in the freeway it starts shaking around 75 mph. What could be the cause of it shaking?
